We asked the fantasy hair stylists to answer some questions about themselves. Here is what Nostradamus had to say.

How did you get your nickname?
I got my nickname because I have a strong fear of the year 2012. But let’s hope the “end of the world” prediction is WRONG!
How did you first get started in creating fantasy hairstyles?
I started with formal styles and gradually started incorporating weaves, props, etc.
What is your professional background?
I have been doing hair professionally for 5 years. I love doing hair “behind the chair” and at times will also do photo shoots. One of my biggest accomplishments is receiving a North American Hairstyling Award in 2006.
How do your hair designs reflect your personality?
By being unique and staying true to myself. I always allow my creativity and originality to shine through.
Who or what is your biggest source of inspiration in your work?
My uncle, Kai. He has been in the hair industry for over 20 years and I have looked up to him since I was a child.
Who's your celebrity hair idol?
I appreciate how Lady Gaga is always coming up with new, innovative hairstyles.
Who's your style inspiration?
Christian Siriano, Alexander McQueen and Oscar de la Renta.
Which celeb would be your dream hair model?
It would be really fun to do fantasy styles on Lady Gaga and/or Nicki Minaj. I would also love to cut and color J-Lo!
What's your fave hair trend?
Big shaggy blow outs!
What's the biggest hair “don’t”?
Box color. Ew. Especially the ones with hi-light kits!
What's your favorite hair product/tool?
I love UNITE products! Boosta spray can do wonders on fine hair. Round brushes are great also!
Do you style your own hair?
I usually have other stylists do my hair. I am very, very picky. In a perfect world, I’d set my head on the table and cut/color/style it myself!
How often do you change your own hairstyle?
I sometimes get into a rut with my own hair. I like to focus more on changing my clients’ hair and making sure that they are happy.
